Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for hospitality data domains such as Reservations, Guest Profiles, Stays, Billing, and Room Inventory.
- Translate business requirements into robust dimensional models (Fact/Dimension, SCD2 where applicable) to support analytics and reporting.
- Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and metadata documentation.
- Work closely with business stakeholders (Hotel Ops, Revenue Management, CRM) to ensure data models align with operational workflows.
- Model and integrate data from Opera PMS and related systems (e.g., CRS, POS, CRM, Loyalty platforms).
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and standardisation across enterprise datasets.
- Support data warehouse/lakehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and downstream BI/reporting use cases.
- Collaborate with data engineers on ETL/ELT design and data ingestion pipelines.
- Perform data model reviews, optimisation, and governance compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7 plus years of experience in data modelling in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, normalisation, and data warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with hospitality systems, specifically Oracle Opera PMS (Cloud).
- Knowledge of hospitality data constructs such as reservations, check-in/check-out, revenue metrics, guest profiles, and room inventory.
- Experience with SQL and data platforms (Snowflake/Azure/Databricks preferred).
- Familiarity with data integration patterns and APIs (e.g., OHIP, Kafka, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with data modelling tools (e.g., ERwin, SqlDBM) is preferred.
