TipRole Overview
We are looking for a skilled
Data Modeler to design, develop, and optimize enterprise data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in logical and physical data modeling, telecom domain understanding, and data warehousing concepts.
This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, DBAs, and analysts to ensure scalable, consistent, and governance-aligned data structures across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business and technical requirements.
- Develop and manage data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data mapping documents.
- Ensure alignment with TM Forum SID standards, enterprise data governance policies, data quality, and security standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand legacy data warehouse functionalities and perform data mapping activities.
- Work closely with data engineers and DBAs to implement and optimize data models within databases and data warehouse environments.
- Design models optimized for performance, scalability, integration, and maintainability.
- Support ETL and data integration processes by providing clear mapping logic and structural guidance.
- Perform impact analysis for proposed changes in data structures and schemas.
- Ensure consistency and standardization of enterprise data assets.
Required Skills & Qualifications - Strong expertise in data modeling techniques:
- Conceptual Data Modeling
- Logical Data Modeling
- Physical Data Modeling
- Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as:
- ERwin
- PowerDesigner
- Oracle SQL Data Modeler
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases:
- Oracle
- SQL Server
- PostgreSQL
- Good understanding of:
- Telecom domain
- Data warehousing concepts
- Star Schema & Snowflake Schema
- Familiarity with:
- Data governance principles
- Data quality standards
- Metadata management
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques
- Exposure to Talend ETL
- Understanding of enterprise data architecture and integration frameworks.
