In this role, you will work across the software development lifecycle to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions aligned to client and sector needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to agile delivery, and support continuous improvement across implementation and engineering activities.
Work you'll do
As a Data Management Engineer II on the AI & Engineering team, you will be responsible for:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements aligned to client and industry needs
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support data management solutions across the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with stakeholders, onsite and offshore teams, and project team members to support solution delivery and issue resolution
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvement, automation, and project quality through reviews and documentation

Deloitte’s AI & Engineering practice helps organizations build, deploy, and operate software, data, artificial intelligence, network, and hybrid cloud solutions that support business-critical outcomes. Within this practice, the AI & Data team delivers solutions for designing, developing, and operating data and AI platforms, products, insights, and services. The team works with clients to modernize data ecosystems, strengthen governance, scale analytics capabilities, and improve operational efficiency through engineering-led transformation.
Location: Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Pune/Chennai
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience with master data management (MDM) concepts and implementations
- Experience with web services and integration technologies, including XML, SOAP, REST, and middleware
- Experience with object-oriented application design and development
- Experience with one or more of the following: HTML, JavaScript, PHP, APEX Triggers, JSP, or ASP.NET
- Experience with database concepts, structured query language (SQL), procedural language/structured query language (PL/SQL), and relational databases such as DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Experience reviewing or creating high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documents and translating requirements into solution design
Preferred:
- Experience with MDM platforms such as Reltio, Informatica MDM, IBM Initiate, SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), or Oracle MDM
- Experience with MDM data models, matching rules, trust frameworks, hierarchy management, and data governance
- Experience working across the systems development life cycle (SDLC) using agile delivery practices
Education:
Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, Master of Computer Applications, or Master of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent
