Job Title: Data Lead – Engineering, Analytics & Science
Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Lead who can own the entire data lifecycle — from building scalable data infrastructure to delivering advanced analytics and predictive insights.
This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who blends Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Data Science, and thrives in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Data Engineering & Architecture
Design, build, and scale robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data infrastructure
Manage and optimize data warehouses and databases
Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across systems
Work with APIs, streaming, and large datasets in production environments
🔹 Data Analytics & Business Insights
Perform deep data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities
Define and track business KPIs and metrics
Partner with business teams to translate requirements into data-driven solutions
Drive decision-making through actionable insights
🔹 Data Science & Advanced Analytics
Build and deploy predictive models and statistical solutions
Conduct experiments (A/B testing) and evaluate business impact
Apply machine learning techniques to solve real-world fintech problems
Continuously improve models and analytical frameworks
🔹 Reporting & Visualization
Develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI / Tableau / Metabase
Automate reporting systems for scalability and efficiency
Present insights clearly to stakeholders and leadership
🔹 Leadership & Ownership
Act as a data owner for business outcomes (not just execution)
Mentor junior team members and guide best practices
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, tech, and business teams
Drive data strategy execution in alignment with company goals
Must Have Skills
🔸 Technical Expertise
Strong hands-on experience in Advanced SQL & Python
Experience across Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science
Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and databases
Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, etc.)
Knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning techniques
🔸 Analytical & Problem-Solving
Ability to work with complex datasets and derive meaningful insights
Strong business understanding and problem-solving mindset
🔸 Communication & Stakeholder Management
Ability to translate data into business language
Strong collaboration and presentation skills
Good to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
Prior experience in FinTech / Financial Services domain
Experience building end-to-end data products
Location - Mumbai (Kalina, BKC)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
Master’s degree is a plus
Experience - 7+ years of experience in data-driven roles with a mix of engineering, analytics, and data science.
