Data Entry Specialist (Spatial & Location Data) - Remote

The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly accurate Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team.
Your primary objective is to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and usability of our operational and spatial (location-based) datasets. By meticulously managing our databases—including verifying information via outbound calls—you will provide the clean, reliable data foundation our consultants need to generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations for our clients. Your work doesn't just fill spreadsheets; it directly powers high-level business decisions.
Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do)
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain spatial data and general operational records within company databases and spreadsheets.
- Handle location-based data entry tasks, specifically utilizing Google Maps interfaces to verify and enrich geographic information.
- Conduct outbound telephone calls to external contacts, clients, or third-party sources to verify, clarify, and validate database information—this is a recurring aspect of the role to ensure our records reflect accurate, real-world data.
- Adhere strictly to established data entry procedures and quality assurance standards to ensure zero-error deliverables.
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal data requests from consultants and management.
Qualifications (Who You Are)
- Essential: Strong typing skills with a proven track record of high-speed, error-free data entry.
- Essential: Solid computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and advanced spreadsheet management.
- Essential: Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills. You must be highly comfortable making outbound calls to external parties for data verification, as telephone validation will take up a portion of your daily workflow.
- Essential: Professional telephone etiquette and the ability to confidently ask clarifying questions to gather accurate information from external sources.
- Highly Advantageous: Prior hands-on experience working with Google Maps or other geographic information systems (GIS) for data verification.
