Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in building and maintaining scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with distributed data processing frameworks and a strong understanding of data architecture principles. This role involves working within regulatory and compliance constraints to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and data platforms that support business and analytics needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using PySpark, Spark, or Scala.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data transformation, validation, and reporting.
- Build and maintain Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and/or Data Marts.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics, compliance, and engineering.
- Optimize data processing performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Support data governance, documentation, and best practices for data management.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience with PySpark, Spark, or Scala.
- 1+ year of experience with SQL.
- Experience designing or working with Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and/or Data Marts.
- Experience working within regulatory and compliance constraints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with PostgreSQL (our primary RDBMS). Training and mentorship will be provided if needed.
- Experience with Azure, GCP, or other cloud service providers.
- Experience with Data Systems Administration.
