Job Description:
Key Skills: Snowflake, Cloud Data Warehousing, Data Modelling, ETL Orchestration, Team Leadership
The day-to-day development and leadership activities will need strong command of the following:
- Expert-level knowledge in Snowflake — including Virtual Warehouses, Resource Monitors, Time Travel, Data Sharing, Streams & Tasks, and Snowpark.
- Deep understanding of Cloud Data Warehousing principles: medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold), ELT patterns, and performance tuning at scale.
- Strong proficiency in SQL — complex query writing, query profiling, clustering keys, materialized views, and query optimization in Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with at least one orchestration/transformation layer: dbt Core/Cloud, Apache Airflow, or equivalent pipeline tooling.
- Good understanding of data integration patterns — CDC (Change Data Capture), batch vs. streaming ingestion, and schema evolution.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure / AWS / GCP) and ability to integrate Snowflake with cloud-native services (ADF, Glue, Pub/Sub, etc.).
- Should have led end-to-end delivery of at least 2 Snowflake-based data platform projects — from architecture design through go-live.
- Ability to review and govern code quality: SQL standards, dbt model conventions, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions), and branching strategies.
- Proven ability to interface directly with clients — translating business requirements into data platform designs, presenting architectural decisions, and managing scope.
- Strong team leadership skills — mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving sprint ceremonies.

- Familiarity with Python (Snowpark) and data science integration in Snowflake is a plus.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks (Collibra, Alation, Purview) is good to have.
