Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Data Engineer at Sigmoid, located in Bengaluru South. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows. You will collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to support business needs by building and optimizing data systems. Your responsibilities will also include analyzing and organizing raw data, developing and testing architectures that enable data extraction, and ensuring data quality across the organization.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with data pipeline tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, or similar technologies
- Expertise in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift)
- Strong skills in data modeling and ETL/ELT processes
- Proficient knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with big data tools and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks
- Understanding of machine learning workflows and integration
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related technical field
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively
- Experience in the AI or analytics domain is a plus
