Role Overview
We’re hiring a Data Engineer to design and operate the pipelines, warehouses, and data infrastructure that power our analytics, AI, and product systems. This role is for someone who writes performant SQL and Python, thinks carefully about data modeling and quality, and partners closely with Product and Engineering to turn raw data into reliable, usable assets.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across operational, analytics, and AI workloads
• Design data models, warehouses, and marts (Postgres, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Develop and orchestrate workflows using Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
• Build dbt models for transformation, testing, and documentation
• Manage vector stores and embedding pipelines for AI/RAG use cases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector)
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability across pipelines
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Analytics to expose clean datasets for dashboards, agents, and downstream consumers
• Optimize pipeline performance, cost, and reliability
Required Skills
• 4–6 years of data engineering experience
• Strong Python and advanced SQL
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Production experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, or similar)
• Working knowledge of dbt
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Solid grasp of data modeling, normalization, and dimensional design
Nice to Have
• Experience with vector databases and embedding workflows
• Familiarity with streaming (Kafka, Kinesis) or CDC tooling
• Exposure to real estate, finance, or asset management data
• Comfort working alongside AI/agent engineers and supporting LLM workloads
