💼 Role & Responsibilities
As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and data processing solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. You will work with different data sources and transform raw data into reliable, structured, and business-ready datasets.
Your responsibilities may include:
* Designing and developing scalable data pipelines using **Azure Data Factory (ADF)**.
* Working with **Azure Databricks** for data processing and transformation.
* Developing data solutions using **Python, PySpark, and Apache Spark**.
* Writing optimized **SQL queries** for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
* Working with **Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)** for storing and managing large volumes of data.
* Implementing **Delta Lake** and understanding **Medallion Architecture** for efficient data management.
* Using **Azure DevOps and Git** for source control, collaboration, and deployment.
* Working with **Unity Catalog** and applying data governance and access-control practices.
* Working with **Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse** for analytical and data warehousing requirements.
* Troubleshooting data pipeline issues and improving performance, reliability, and scalability.
