Data Engineer | Trivandrum, Kerala, India | Hybrid
We're seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join a global leader in SaaS solutions for the travel industry. This organization is renowned for its innovative products and commitment to digital transformation.
The Role
• Design, build, and maintain large-scale batch data pipelines in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Implement scalable, reliable, and observable data processing solutions using Spark, Scala/Java, and SQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, resolve performance bottlenecks, and debug complex data systems.
• Develop impactful reports and insights for stakeholders and contribute to data products.
• Support agile practices, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
What You'll Need
• 8-10 years of overall experience, with 2+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Proven experience building/maintaining production data pipelines in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Strong skills in Spark, Scala/Java, and SQL are essential.
• Exposure to technologies like Hive, Airflow, Iceberg, Collibra, Power BI, and Qubole is a plus.
• Familiarity with testing, monitoring, and agile delivery practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
