Role Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join Datadives India.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for remote work depending on project requirements.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data processing workflows. You will work on ETL/ELT processes, data integration, data modeling, and data warehouse solutions. You will also collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to support analytics, reporting, automation, and production data engineering needs.
The ideal candidate should be hands-on, comfortable with real-world data challenges, and capable of taking ownership of pipeline development, debugging, optimization, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources.
- Build and optimize data models, data marts, and warehouse solutions.
- Write efficient SQL queries and data transformation logic.
- Develop data workflows using Python, PySpark, Spark, Airflow, or similar tools.
- Support data quality checks, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with teams to understand business requirements and convert them into data solutions.
- Work on cloud-based data platforms and storage services.
- Debug production issues and improve pipeline performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support analytics, reporting, and AI-ready data initiatives.
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
- Strong understanding of data pipeline design, development, and maintenance.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
- Good knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Warehousing concepts.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, Spark, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with tools such as Airflow, AWS Glue, Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot data issues, failed jobs, and performance bottlenecks.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and ownership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in cloud, data engineering, or analytics will be an added advantage.
