We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with strong expertise in risk systems and SQL development to support transformation initiatives within a corporate banking environment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in assessing legacy risk platforms and enabling the transition to modern risk systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with risk, technology, and business teams to understand existing risk systems (e.g., CreditLens, ELCM, or similar platforms).
- Analyze and assess risks associated with sunsetting legacy risk systems and transitioning to new platforms.
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL-based data pipelines and workflows.
- Support the implementation and productionization of new risk systems in a corporate banking environment.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with risk and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL development and data processing.
- Deep understanding of risk systems such as CreditLens, ELCM, or similar banking risk platforms.
- Experience working in corporate or commercial banking environments.
- Proven ability to evaluate system migration risks and support system modernization initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Databricks or similar data platforms.
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with tools and platforms that support SQL-based development.
- Understanding of data architecture and modern data engineering practices.
