About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our talented team at UsefulBI Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures that support our data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in big data technologies, cloud platforms, and data processing frameworks. Your expertise will be crucial in developing robust data solutions that enhance data accessibility, quality, and performance across our organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Candidates should possess 3 to 7 years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles. Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential, along with hands-on experience with PySpark or Spark. Familiarity with Databricks, ETL tools, and data pipeline orchestration frameworks is required. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is also necessary. A good understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and data architecture best practices is vital. Knowledge of real-time data processing frameworks like Kafka, as well as orchestration tools such as Airflow, will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to process large datasets efficiently and reliably.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to ensure seamless data integration from multiple sources.
- Work with both structured and unstructured data, managing data ingestion from diverse sources.
- Develop data solutions using Python, SQL, and PySpark to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Implement data warehousing and data modeling solutions to facilitate easy data access and analysis.
- Ensure high data quality, reliability, and performance optimization through continuous monitoring and improvements.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to deliver comprehensive data solutions aligned with business goals.
- Utilize cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to deploy and manage scalable data infrastructure.
- Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new data technologies and frameworks to enhance data capabilities.
