Today, we’re focused on the most impactful aspects of DataOps: observability and lineage.
Most teams still discover data outages – duplicated, missing, and unexpected data – after they
impact application features, dashboards, ML models, and ultimately their stakeholders. We’re
building a data observability platform to monitor their data content and alert them early so they can triage and respond instantly.
We are looking for Software developers and Team lead to be a part of the engineering team for Bigeye. The engineering team will work on Bigeye implementation with clients.
What you’ll be doing
· Meet with customers to understand how they will be deploying and configuring the Bigeye solution
· Guide customer implementations, especially as it relates to connectivity to their internal systems
· Debugging and diagnosing issues that arise during implementation to help customers
successfully connect Bigeye’s connectors to their systems
· Document what customers are looking to do, keep track of outstanding issues, and
escalate where appropriate
· Guiding customers on selecting and deploying the right agent types for their use case.
· Make minor fixes to the connector framework to unblock yourself during customer
implementations
· Edit and maintain agent configuration files (bigeye_agent.yml) and troubleshoot connector validation failures during customer onboarding."
What prior knowledge you will need
· Python primarily along with Java
· Docker
· Kubernetes
· Linux, especially CLI-based tooling
· AWS
· REST APIs
· YAML configuration proficiency
· Connecting to various data systems and tools - familiarity with enterprise BI and ETL ecosystems
What You Bring
· 4+ years of experience in Python, Java, or another modern language for software development positions and 8+ years for Team lead positions
· Experience working in a technical customer-facing role, assisting users of various abilities implement software successfully
· Experience working with databases, ETL tools, BI tools, especially as it relates to user and permission management
· Proven track record of diagnosing and debugging issues within a customer’s environment
· Networking troubleshooting (proxies, firewalls, TLS/certificate issues) and secrets management familiarity
· Clear and straightforward communication
