About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team remotely from anywhere across India. This role is ideal for professionals with over five years of relevant experience who are passionate about cloud data solutions and eager to work on complex data projects using Microsoft Azure technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data storage and processing systems that support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative data pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the digital transformation journey of our clients. Immediate joiners or candidates available within 15 days are preferred, and this role provides the flexibility of remote work across Pan India.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a focus on Azure cloud services.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with Azure SQL Database.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, and other Azure storage solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory for building and managing ETL processes.
- Experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
- Proficiency in Python programming language for data manipulation and pipeline development.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and project management.
- Understanding of big data technologies and data security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to project execution.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain robust data storage solutions utilizing Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage to support various data needs.
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, processing, and transformation in Azure environments.
- Construct data models that facilitate analytics and reporting, ensuring they are scalable and reliable.
- Implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory or comparable tools to automate data workflows.
- Utilize Azure Databricks and Apache Spark to assemble large, complex datasets for analytical purposes.
- Develop and enforce data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance procedures to maintain data integrity.
- Ensure all data solutions comply with security standards and regulatory requirements to protect sensitive information.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data platform architectures.
- Maintain documentation of data pipelines, architecture, and processes for transparency and future reference.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure data engineering tools and best practices to continually improve data solutions.
