About The Role
We are seeking a talented and driven Data Engineer with over 5 years of experience to join our expanding Data & Analytics team at SourceFuse. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data architectures that facilitate efficient data processing and analytics. Your expertise will enable the organization to harness the full potential of its data assets, driving data-driven decision-making and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to building high-performance data systems. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, focusing on data pipeline construction, integration, and optimization.
- Proficiency in SQL and extensive experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud-based data warehouses like Amazon Redshift and Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with data engineering tools and frameworks including Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, Debezium, and Airflow.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java, with a proven track record of building and deploying production-grade data pipelines.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience utilizing cloud-native data tools.
- Familiarity with data modeling principles and designing efficient, scalable data architectures.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement efficient and scalable data pipelines to process, integrate, and transform diverse data sets from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Build and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and other storage solutions optimized for performance and cost efficiency, managing the entire CDC and ETL lifecycle from extraction to transformation and loading.
- Collaborate closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to identify data needs and develop solutions that enable actionable insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Establish and enforce data quality, integrity, and security standards by implementing robust monitoring systems and adhering to data governance best practices.
- Streamline data workflows through automation, optimize system performance, and continuously seek opportunities for process improvements to meet evolving business requirements.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, integrating best practices into the organization’s data ecosystem for ongoing enhancement.
- Monitor data pipelines and systems proactively, troubleshoot issues promptly, and provide ongoing support to ensure uninterrupted and efficient data flow across platforms.
