About The Role

The Lead Data Engineer at Crayon Data will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing the foundational data systems that underpin our AI and analytics initiatives. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering with a strong background in building scalable data systems. Hands-on experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and HBase is required, along with a solid understanding of data lake architectures, data warehousing, and relational databases like Oracle, SQL, DB2, or Teradata. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, is also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, ownership mentality, and a passion for data innovation. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are highly valued. The role is Chennai-based, with an expectation of collaborating with global teams and stakeholders.
