We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join a fast-moving engineering team in Bengaluru. This role is best suited for candidates from product-based companies or startups who have worked hands-on on scalable data systems and can join by the 3rd week of May.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering; candidates with strong depth and ownership will be preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Solid SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, query optimization, and analytical querying.
- Exposure to Azure data services like Data Lake Storage, Synapse, Data Factory, or Blob Storage.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT, dimensional modeling, and batch/stream processing concepts.
- Ability to work independently, think beyond execution, and contribute to design and infrastructure decisions.
Preferred profile
- Candidates from product companies or high-growth startups.
- Strong examples of impact metrics such as performance improvement, scale handled, latency reduction, cost optimization, or reliability gains.
- Hands-on professionals who show ownership mindset and have collaborated across teams.
- Exposure to Microsoft stack is a strong plus; relevant certifications are a good signal.
