Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to support the development of advanced data platforms and analytics solutions within a global energy organization.
In this role, you will contribute to building scalable data pipelines and big data platforms that enable faster and more informed business decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources, deploy new solutions, and support analytics initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines to support high-volume and high-velocity data processing.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of big data platforms for analytics.
- Support the integration of new data sources and the deployment of new data solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Support agile delivery cycles and contribute to Sprint deliverables.
- Assist in analysing and modelling data and key performance indicators.
- Present insights and support stakeholders in understanding analytical outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in Data Engineering or Big Data platforms.
- Strong experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data processing solutions.
- Experience working with large datasets and scalable data architectures.
- Programming experience in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with modern data development, testing, and deployment practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of big data frameworks or distributed data processing technologies.
- Experience supporting advanced analytics or data science teams.
