The Data and BI Analyst serves as an analytics specialist in the business, focusing on the management of data from various sources and providing data-driven insights to relevant departments. In this position, the Data & BI Analyst gains exposure to almost all departments of the business, inclusive of data warehousing, product management, product development, marketing, account management, and IT among others. The Data Analyst aids by providing various departments with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard solutions that will enable the achievement of the business’s overall goals.
- Lead the day-to-day activities of the Data Analytics department, managing deliverables, project timelines and reports development
- Support and work with various department stakeholders to review and collect reporting requirements through workshops, interviews, document analyses, surveys, use cases, business process descriptions and workflow analysis.
- Identify, analyze and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets, drawing insights that will aid the business in data-driven decisions.
- Validate, interpret, create analyses and present results to department heads and relevant stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
- Implement analytical models into production and operationalize by collaborating with product engineering teams and application support teams in an agile/devops model.
- Support the continuous learning activities for a global data analytics community, spanning across locations and business functions
Skills & Qualification:
- Bachelor‘s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, or any other related field. An equivalent of this requirement in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
- 6+ years of working experience in data analyst or data warehousing position in a fast-paced and complex business setting.
- Proven and successful understanding of how to interpret a business’s needs and how to draw these needs from analysis or raw information and data.
- Experience in project management methodologies in an agile environment
- Expert with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI, DataStudio, Looker etc
- High Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, SparkSQL.
- Experience with Big Data tools like BigQuery, Databricks, Fabric.
- Excellent communication skills and a Data-oriented personality
