Position Description
We are looking for a senior Data Architect to define and structure the data foundation of our catering and in-flight operations domain. You will create clarity across our data sources, design the conceptual data model, and map how data moves across our systems and processes.
You will also shape the architecture roadmap and ensure solutions follow enterprise and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Inventory
- Map all catering-related data sources and key data objects.
- Identify ownership, duplicates, gaps, and structural inconsistencies.
- Document the as-is data and technology landscape.
- Conceptual Data Model
- Build and maintain the high-level conceptual data model for catering.
- Align definitions, entities, and structures across platforms.
- Ensure models adhere to enterprise-wide architecture principles.
- Processes & Data Flows
- Document end-to-end data flows across catering, operations, and finance.
- Identify manual steps, breaks, and misalignments.
- Produce clear lineage and ensure flows meet business objectives.
- Ensure that selected technologies and designs meet functional and technical requirements.
- Improvements & Recommendations
- Propose improvements for flight-specific catering orders, financial alignment, and product catalog data.
- Recommend architectural changes and simplifications aligned with industry best practices.
- Identify and introduce relevant new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and internal architecture governance.
- Architecture Governance & Roadmap
- Develop and maintain the architecture roadmap aligned with the enterprise architecture.
- Support Enabler Epics and technical debt resolution.
- Participate in architecture management processes.
- Support backlog prioritization by articulating architectural impacts and trade-offs.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture and Data Modeling
- Strong expertise in building conceptual and logical data models
- Ability to map business processes into data structures and flows
- Experience designing or analyzing integrations between operational systems
- Background in aviation, catering, logistics, or similar domains is a plus
