Role: Bizmetric is looking for an experienced Data Architect who has a strong background in designing and implementing data solutions on the Azure platform. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines, leveraging a range of Azure services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define data architecture that supports business needs, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Architecture: o Design and implement scalable data architectures using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure components. o Define and enforce best practices for data modeling, data integration, and ETL processes across projects. o Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with data governance standards and policies.
2. Azure Data Platform Implementation: o Lead the deployment of end-to-end data solutions using Azure Data Platform services, ensuring performance optimization and scalability. o Collaborate with data engineering teams to define technical requirements and select the right tools and services to meet project goals.
3. Cloud Strategy & Roadmap: o Develop the cloud data strategy and roadmap for Azure services, aligning with business objectives and growth plans. o Stay current with the latest trends in Azure cloud services and recommend improvements to data platforms to enhance data processing capabilities.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: o Collaborate with stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust data architecture solutions. o Act as the technical expert and advisor for Azure Data Services, providing strategic insights and support across the organization.
5. Data Governance & Security: o Define and implement data governance frameworks, including data lineage, metadata management, and data quality standards. o Ensure that all data architecture complies with security policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Extensive experience in Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other relevant Azure components.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing data architectures on Azure platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL frameworks, and data governance best practices.
• Experience working with large-scale cloud data platforms, data warehousing, and data lakes.
• Solid understanding of SQL, Python, or other relevant languages for data manipulation and transformation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
