What This Role Actually Is
Most people haven't heard of voice data annotation, so let us explain it plainly.
AI voice assistants, the kind that understand what you say and respond intelligently, don't
learn on their own. They learn from thousands of hours of real human speech that has been
carefully labeled by human experts. That's what you'll be doing.
You will listen to audio recordings of real conversations in Hindi, Tamil, or Malayalam and
your job is to document exactly what was said, who said it, and how with very high
precision. Think of it like being a highly skilled court stenographer, except for AI.
This is quiet, focused, independent work. It is detail-heavy and repetitive by nature. If you
enjoy getting into a rhythm, working with language, and taking pride in accuracy this role will
suit you well.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
● Verbatim Transcription Type out exactly what is spoken in the audio, word for
word, including filler words, pauses, and code-switching (e.g., Hinglish)
● Speaker Diarization Identify and label who is speaking at each point in the
conversation (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.)
● Intent Tagging Mark what the speaker is trying to accomplish (e.g., asking a
question, making a complaint, confirming information)
● Emotion Labeling Identify the emotional tone of the speaker at different points (e.g.,
frustrated, happy, neutral, confused)
● Quality Checks Review your own work before submission to ensure it meets the
98% accuracy benchmarks.
Requirements
● Full professional fluency in English written and spoken
● Full professional fluency in at least one of: Hindi, Tamil, or Malayalam both spoken
comprehension and typed output
● Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM in your regional language
● Comfortable doing focused, repetitive work for extended hours this is non-negotiable
● Available to join immediately or within 5 days no exceptions
● Stable internet connection, a quiet working environment and a working laptop.
Compensation & Terms
● This is a contractual role and you will be compensated on a monthly basis.
● Salary: 25,000 - 35,000/Month INR.
● Location: Remote
