About the Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join our data team and contribute to two core areas: plant data collection and annotation for our computer vision systems, and market price data research, collection, and validation for our agricultural market intelligence platform.
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role. You will work directly with real farm data, plant images, and market pricing datasets that feed into our production systems.
What You'll Do
Plant Data & Annotation
- Collect, organize, and label plant images for computer vision model training
- Annotate plant health, growth stages, and defects across image datasets
- Maintain annotation quality and consistency using defined labeling guidelines
- Assist in building and managing structured plant datasets
Market Data Collection & Validation
- Research and collect crop pricing data across wholesale, retail, and HoReCa channels
- Validate and cross-check prices from platforms like IndiaMART, BigBasket, mandi portals, and other agricultural sources
- Identify inconsistencies, outliers, and gaps in market price datasets
- Maintain clean, structured pricing records in Excel and database formats
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze trends and patterns in crop pricing and plant growth data
- Generate structured reports and summaries for internal teams
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation on incoming datasets
- Support the team with ad hoc data tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- Solid Python and Excel skills; comfortable working with data at scale
- Attention to detail — accuracy in annotation and data entry matters here
- Familiarity with pandas and basic data analysis workflows
- Interest in or exposure to image annotation tools (CVAT, LabelImg, Roboflow, or similar) is a plus
- Basic understanding of SQL is helpful
- Good research instincts — ability to find, verify, and cross-reference data from multiple sources
- Willingness to do repetitive, precision work without cutting corners
Qualifications
- Final-year students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Data Science, Agriculture, or related fields
- Prior experience in data entry, annotation, or research-based internships is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work
