About The Role
Plootus is seeking a passionate and motivated Computer Science / Engineering Intern to join our innovative team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the US fintech market by working directly with our founding team. The role involves contributing to the development and enhancement of our web and mobile applications, focusing on data analysis, financial modeling, and product development. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, building automation tools, and supporting our marketing efforts with data-driven insights. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess strong programming skills in Python and R, with a good understanding of financial concepts related to ETFs, mutual funds, and stocks. Proficiency in Excel, including automation techniques, will be highly advantageous. Responsibilities
As a Data & Financial Analysis Intern at Plootus, your responsibilities will include working with Python and R to analyze the performance of 401(k) plans, mutual funds, ETFs, and stocks. You will be tasked with pulling and reconciling data from multiple sources such as APIs, databases, and CSV files to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Building and automating portfolio models and retirement projections will be a key aspect of your role, helping to refine our platform's capabilities. You will create and maintain Excel workbooks, charts, dashboards, and presentations to communicate insights effectively. Supporting the technology team by developing data scripts and conducting testing will be vital to ensure seamless application performance. Additionally, you will collaborate with the marketing team to generate data-driven content and insights for blogs and social media channels. Monitoring global markets and macroeconomic trends that impact wealth and retirement strategies will also be part of your responsibilities, providing valuable context for our product development and client advisory services.
