Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Analyst role based in Haora. The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources to support business and risk decisions. Responsibilities include building and maintaining reports and dashboards, performing exploratory and statistical analysis, and developing data models to identify trends, patterns, and performance drivers. The role will collaborate closely with business, operations, finance, and risk teams to translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations. The Data Analyst will also support forecasting, regulatory and management reporting, and continuous improvement of data quality, tools, and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and proven experience in Data Analytics to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Solid foundation in Statistics, including descriptive and inferential methods, hypothesis testing, and forecasting techniques.
- Experience in Data Modeling, including designing data structures and models for reporting, dashboards, and predictive analysis.
- Effective Communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau); knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or BFSI analytics is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work with large datasets, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
