ROLE OVERVIEW /PURPOSE OF JOB:
This role will be responsible for supporting data management, data quality and data governance to ensure high integrity of enterprise data across the organisation.
You will be adaptable and hard-working, and demonstrate strong communication skills both in relations with your team and with the wider Funds-Axis business.
You will deliver the support and the operational excellence in accordance with the Company Mission and Vision, and in a manner supportive of the Funds-Axis Values and Business Culture.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working across the full data lifecycle, extraction, transformation and delivery, and who has hands-on experience with modern data tools and platforms.
We are looking for a motivated early-career candidate with a strong interest in data and financial technology (FinTech) who enjoys solving problems and has a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be a team player, able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues, eager to learn, build technical skills, and grow within a data-focused role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently seeking an entry-level candidate who is passionate about ETL automation and data operations. The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:
- Supporting and maintaining ETL workflows using EasyMorph and other automation tools.
- Supporting data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes across multiple systems.
- Collaborating with compliance and reporting teams to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
- Assist with data cleansing, validation and reconciliation activities.
- Documenting processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assisting in the integration of new data sources and automation of manual tasks.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Financial Technology (FinTech), Finance, Business, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel or other data reporting tools.
- Knowledge of data operations, ETL development, or automation workflows.
- Understanding of data structures, transformation logic, and workflow automation.
- Ability to work with large datasets and troubleshoot data issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across teams with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Understanding of EasyMorph or other similar ETL tools.
- Familiarity with SQL, scripting languages (e.g., Python), and cloud-based data environments (e.g. Azure, AWS etc.)
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or fund data environments
- Familiarity with data modelling or data governance concepts
- Experience working in Agile or collaborative delivery environments
