About The Role
We are seeking experienced Data Analysts specializing in Machine Learning Evaluation Benchmarks (MLE Bench) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in benchmark-driven evaluation projects that focus on real-world machine learning systems. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct hands-on analysis using production-like datasets, metrics, and ML outputs to evaluate, diagnose, and enhance the performance of advanced AI models. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work at the intersection of data analysis and machine learning, contributing to projects that push the boundaries of AI capabilities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over three years of experience as a Data Analyst or an analytics-focused engineer. Proficiency in Python for data analysis is essential, along with solid experience in SQL and working with relational datasets. Candidates should have a proven track record of analyzing machine learning outputs and evaluation metrics, with a strong understanding of statistical principles and analytical reasoning. The ability to handle large, complex datasets and extract reliable insights is critical. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, and be adept at writing clean, well-documented analytical code to support reproducibility and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets generated from machine learning training, inference, and evaluation pipelines to identify patterns, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Define, compute, and validate key metrics used to evaluate model performance, robustness, and behavior across various scenarios.
- Investigate data distributions, model outputs, failure modes, and edge cases relevant to benchmark tasks to inform model development and evaluation strategies.
- Develop and execute Python and SQL scripts to analyze data, generate comprehensive reports, and support ongoing evaluation workflows.
- Ensure data quality by validating datasets for accuracy, consistency, and correctness across multiple experiments and datasets.
- Create clear, well-documented analytical artifacts, including reproducible workflows, to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing within teams.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers and researchers to design challenging and realistic evaluation scenarios that accurately reflect real-world conditions and requirements.
Benefits
