About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Data Analyst to join our team on an immediate basis. This role is pivotal in analyzing and interpreting clinical trial data to generate actionable insights that support decision-making processes within our client organizations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, with hands-on experience in evaluating clinical datasets, validating analytical outputs, and identifying data gaps or inconsistencies. Unlike roles focused on data management or system implementation, this position emphasizes understanding the clinical context and ensuring the integrity and relevance of the data analysis. The Clinical Data Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, analytics, and data engineering, providing expert insights and recommendations based on thorough data interpretation.
Qualifications
- 3 to 6 years of professional experience working with clinical trial data in pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or clinical research environments.
- Proven expertise in interpreting clinical datasets, with a focus on deriving meaningful insights rather than just data management.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial concepts such as trial phases, study arms, endpoints, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to identify data issues and articulate their impact on analysis and decision-making processes.
- Experience in validating data outputs and ensuring analytical logic aligns with clinical trial objectives.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing clinical datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly explaining insights, assumptions, and limitations to diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analyze clinical trial datasets throughout the trial lifecycle to support insights and strategic decision-making.
- Validate data outputs and analytical logic to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data quality.
- Interpret clinical trial outcomes, including efficacy, safety, endpoints, survival metrics, and response data.
- Compare different analytical approaches, articulating their advantages, disadvantages, and providing well-reasoned recommendations.
- Work with clinical data sources, including CTMS data, as a data consumer, to assess data completeness and usability.
- Explore datasets independently during early analysis phases to surface meaningful insights and trends.
- Communicate findings effectively through reports, presentations, and summaries in Excel, PowerPoint, and written formats for cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, and data engineering teams by providing analytical judgment, feedback, and insights—excluding the development of data pipelines or system configurations.
