About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing detailed data analysis, understanding data propagation across systems, and documenting data transformation rules and logic. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in SQL, and experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS. The Data Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot data-related issues, and support data governance initiatives. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a hybrid environment with flexible locations across India, contributing to large-scale data projects that impact global supply chain operations and master data management processes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for data, a strong understanding of data structures, and the ability to communicate complex data concepts effectively. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5-8 years of experience working with data in an analyst or similar role. A bachelor's degree in any discipline is required. Candidates should have a strong command of SQL, preferably with experience in Big Query, along with familiarity with cloud environments such as GCP or AWS. Knowledge of data structures in XML and JSON formats, along with experience in data processing platforms, is essential. Additional skills include ETL processes, scripting for automation, and working with both structured and unstructured data sources. Domain knowledge in business firmographics, financial data, or banking is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for data analysis, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across time zones as part of a global team.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed data analysis to understand data flow and propagation across various systems and applications, documenting data transformation rules and logic.
- Participate in requirement analysis discussions to understand and document specific data needs and specifications.
- Conduct detailed troubleshooting and analysis of data incidents related to global supply chain operations to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures, maintaining data quality and security standards.
- Support internal stakeholders by resolving data issues and addressing queries related to data management.
- Analyze data from various sources, both internal and external, and document metadata including transformations, data structures, and formats.
- Design and document data structures for databases and data exchanges using industry-standard modeling notations and tools.
- Demonstrate strong domain knowledge in master data management (MDM) processes, particularly in business firmographics, financials, and trade data fields.
- Conceptualize and implement data and analytics solutions within the MDM space, supporting business needs and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable data solutions that enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
- Utilize scripting and automation tools to streamline data collection, transformation, and loading processes.
