Senior Cryptocurrency Accountant

About Us Darien Advisors is a tax and advisory practice focused on web3 and digital assets. Established in 2021, we specialize in cryptocurrency/digital asset tax reporting, compliance services, tax preparation, agency/notice resolution, advisory services, and treasury/financial reporting. We're not your traditional firm—and this isn't your traditional 9–5. We're a remote-first team, fully asynchronous, and we operate with a high degree of trust, autonomy, and flexibility. Position Details Title: Senior Cryptocurrency Accountant Pay: $75K–$100K annual equivalent (flexible based on experience) Location: Remote Schedule: Short-term: Full-time (40 hours/week) Long-term: Opportunity to grow into a leadership role Who You Are A senior-level accountant with 3+ years experience, ideally in crypto or tech-forward environments Highly proficient in CoinTracking.info or similar reconciliation tools Experienced in preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and auditing transactional date Detail-oriented and confident working through atypical or incomplete data sets Comfortable working independently and managing your own workflow Curious and enthusiastic about the crypto space A strong communicator and proactive collaborator Familiar with Google Workspace, Slack, and remote collaboration tools What You'll Do Reconcile cryptocurrency transactions using CoinTracking.info and other crypto-specific platforms Identify, adjust, and correct misclassified or missing transactions Review unusual entries and ensure completeness of transaction history Prepare balance sheets, P&L statements, and other key financial reports Assist with crypto-related tax report generation Draft findings and communicate insights clearly to clients and internal team Collaborate directly with firm leadership on process best practices and client deliverables Tools We Use CoinTracking.info, Awaken.tax, CryptoTaxCalculator, Koinly and/or others Slack Google Workspace Other crypto and finance tech stacks as needed
