About the role

The team is located within Model Risk Management in Group Risk as a 2nd line function responsible for managing the end-to-end validation processes in compliance with the BCBS 239 principles (Basel's principles for effective risk data aggregation and reporting). We have an open working environment with many nationalities and cross-border teams. The department is characterised by a high level of expertise within different risk areas where we support each other where needed.
This role will require a good understanding of data management, IT systems and the ability to work with various stakeholders in different parts of the organisation. The right profile for this role has a good understanding of IT systems and infrastructure and can translate this knowledge into working structurally with data and data risks.

You will:
Perform data validation and data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data
Perform process mappings and controls and effectiveness design and testing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data discrepancies
Assist in the development and implementation of data validation processes and controls
Support the head of the unit in preparing and presenting reports on data validation activities and findings
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the data validation function
About you:
We are looking for a new colleague with good collaboration skills and who will bring the following things to the table:
A motivation for being part of designing and implementing new procedures and setting the direction for how we will work with data validation in the future
Knowledge of data architecture and IT infrastructure, controls, data flow and end user tools
Experience with process mapping and designing and testing effectiveness of controls
Ability to work structured with complex topics and to present these in a non-technical format
Advanced English knowledge skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree within computer science, engineering, economics, statistics, or another analytically intensive field
Minimum 4 years working experience in a role within data management, IT processes, process mapping or other related fields
In addition to this, it will be a plus if you have experience with the following topics:
Banking regulation, and particularly BCBS 239
Programming skills in SQL, SAS, Python or similar
