Join our team as an Machine Learning Engineer and play a pivotal role in contributing to groundbreaking technology that is transforming the financial industry. You'll be a pioneer in the field, using your expertise to extract meaning from financial structured and unstructured data.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge models for diverse applications, including:
   -Multi-modal Information extraction: extracting key insights from vast amounts of data in different formats (like tables, text, and charts), both structured and unstructured.
   -Term disambiguation: detect which financial terms are equivalent, but written differently.
   -Machine translation: bridging the gap of language for financial statements.
   
2. Collaborate closely with software engineers, and domain experts to define project scope, analyze data, and integrate models into production environments.
3. Conduct and document rigorous experiments to evaluate and improve model performance.
4. Build and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines for data pre-processing, model training, and deployment.
5. Monitor and maintain deployed models, ensuring optimal performance and addressing any issues with stakeholders proactively.
6. Stay at the forefront of AI, actively contributing to knowledge sharing and innovation within the team.

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (OR equivalent experience).
2. Strong proficiency in the Python programming language.
3. Experience with code-versioning tools (git).
4. Strong Machine and Deep Learning fundamentals.
5. In-depth understanding of NLP fundamentals, including regular expressions, text pre-processing, tokenization, stemming, lemmatization, and language models in addition to transformers.
6. Experience with fundamental concepts of Computer Vision and basic image processing.
7. Experience with Machine Learning libraries and frameworks (Numpy, PyTorch, HuggingFace, OpenCV, scikit-learn, spaCy, NLTK, etc.).
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to highly technical and non-technical audiences.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
10. Experience with ML research on topics like representation learning, information retrieval and object detection.
11. Passion for learning and a continuous desire to explore new advancements in the ever-evolving field of Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
    
    

Good to have:

1. Basic backend development experience with Django.
2. Experience with vector databases, LLMs and frameworks like LangChain.
3. Experience with ML research on topics like representation learning, information retrieval.
4. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying and managing NLP models.
