About the role

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

The Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist I is responsible for supporting the operational, administrative, and technical activities associated with the University's LMS. LMS Specialist I supports faculty, staff, and students in online learning content and the tools associated with the University’s LMS.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated success in project management.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare data analysis reports.
  • Experience with Blackboard or other LMS platforms is preferred.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Upload, implement, and maintain the delivery of online learning content and supporting media in the LMS
  • Provide support to faculty, staff, and students via in-person, emails, phone calls, and/or virtually
  • Troubleshoot LMS and supporting technologies to ensure the LMS system continues to function as designed and expected.
  • Assist and support LMS training
  • Support, generate, and analyze LMS learning data
  • Develop and maintain Course Administration spreadsheet each semester
  • Support the resolution of user issues, provide creative options for LMS needs, and suggest opportunities for use as an integrative educational solution
  • Assist Learning Technologies (LT) Team Manager in the development of communications related to LMS activities
  • Assist LT Team Manager in the development of LMS training materials

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

 This is an on-campus Regular Full-time position.

 

WORK LOCATION:

This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211
