Dalberg Data Insights (DDI) is dedicated to bridging the AI awareness and adoption gap in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) to prevent a growing digital divide with High-Income Countries. We democratize AI access for impactful organizations by designing AI and data strategies, providing AI literacy training, piloting AI solutions, consulting on Responsible AI, and developing advanced AI analysts and advisors (aia2) to transform data into actionable insights. Our AI platform, augmentimpact.ai, enables the efficient creation of AI analysts and advisors, enhancing data analysis for greater productivity and impact. As the AI and Data Science entity of the Dalberg Group, DDI is part of a global network working to build a more inclusive and sustainable world. Established in 2001, Dalberg operates across 29 locations, integrating expertise from Dalberg Advisors, Dalberg Design, Dalberg Implement, Dalberg Media, Dalberg Research, and Dalberg Data Insights to create large-scale impact. About the role: Dalberg Data Insights is looking for 3 Data Fellows who can join the team. As a Data Fellow, you will become an active member of a team that is working on an ongoing project and learn first-hand what it takes to build impactful data solutions. You will rotate between different Data Science and Project Management roles, thereby receiving a unique overview of how different functions operate within a successful project. The Data Fellowship program will help you to discover your strengths and use them to grow into the job that fits you best. As entrepreneurship and creativity is highly valued at DDI, we also encourage Data Fellows to drive their own initiatives related to data for development. The fellowship program is 6 months long and full-time employment will be offered to the top performers. About you: You're eager to develop data tools and inclusive data ecosystems to assist public and development actors in making informed decisions. You aspire to tackle global issues, from the spread of pandemics to climate change to youth unemployment, ensuring no population is left behind. You are a dedicated problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit, committed to professional excellence. You are curious and a fast learner. You are disciplined and attentive to data systems. You are self-driven, agile and can work independently and on multiple engagements simultaneously. You do not shy away from working in multicultural and multi-location teams. You value diversity. Requirements: Curious, resourceful, confident under pressure, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches or systematic thinking. Self-driven, agile, and able to work independently and on multiple engagements simultaneously. Ability to effectively communicate ideas and rationale to project managers or clients, and see concepts through to final design deliverables. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Understanding of the social impact sector, including the unique challenges and opportunities it presents. Familiarity with the needs and pain points of both public and private sector clients in this space. Technical prowess in utilizing data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar for effective data communication. Knowledge of AI technologies and their practical implementation in product development. Demonstrated ability to employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to client challenges. Capability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
