About the role
YOUR ROLE
Own design for a defined feature area, taking medium-complexity problems from discovery to implementation
and launch. Partner with product and engineering, make independent design decisions within your scope, and
refine your work through customer feedback and product data.
Your users may include analysts reviewing flagged cases, managers configuring verification rules, businesses
completing onboarding and forward-deployed engineers supporting customer workflows. This is a hands-on
individual-contributor opportunity, not a design-management position.

OWNERSHIP, CRAFT & CUSTOMER IMPACT
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
• Translate complex workflows and information into clear user journeys, information architecture, prototypes
and implementation-ready designs.
• Carry projects through exploration, design review, engineering collaboration and launch, with limited
day-to-day oversight.
• Design beyond the happy path: incomplete information, errors, exceptions and the states users need to make
confident decisions.
• Use customer conversations, usability testing and product analytics to challenge assumptions and validate
solutions.
• Apply and extend the design system while balancing usability, visual quality, business priorities, technical
constraints and delivery speed.
• Communicate design rationale and progress clearly; work closely with product, engineering and
customer-facing teams, and support newer designers through reviews and pairing.
WHAT YOU BRING
• At least 4 years of full-time, in-house product-design experience. Contract, freelance and agency work
do not count toward this minimum; internships are excluded.
• Evidence of shipping real product features and workflows, ideally in fintech, consumer technology, B2B SaaS
or other complex, data-heavy products.
• A portfolio showing problem framing, research, options considered, design decisions, trade-offs and
implementation, not only polished final screens.
• Strong interaction design, information architecture, visual design and prototyping skills, with attention to edge
cases and execution quality.
• Clear written and verbal communication, effective collaboration with product managers and engineers, and
comfort adapting as priorities evolve.
• Availability to work onsite in Bengaluru.
EXPERIENCE THAT WILL STAND OUT
Merchant or customer onboarding; KYC/KYB, payments, fraud and risk; case-management or operational
dashboards; rule configuration; research-led simplification of complex B2B or consumer journeys. Direct
compliance expertise is useful, but strong transferable product-design judgment matters.
