Persistence is an early-stage company building the voice-AI platform for phone-first businesses — healthcare, insurance, mortgages, financial services and roadside assistance — industries that still run most customer interactions over the phone, where legacy fixes like IVR menus and offshore call centres handle only a slice and still leave people on long holds. Persistence's AI voice agents plug in like a human call- centre agent and handle calls at scale: build, test, deploy and continuously improve them from one platform.
The product is already live and multilingual — you can take a live call from an agent at persistence.dev. The bet is to be to voice-based customer operations what HubSpot or Salesforce became to their categories: a horizontal, telephony-native platform, in a global call-centre market worth roughly $390B. The team owns the full voice stack — real-time orchestration and turn-taking, telephony (SIP / WebRTC / LiveKit), and over time its own fine-tuned speech and language models for phone calls.
This is a genuine founding-team seat in Bengaluru — early engineers shape the core architecture and own services end-to-end, not a slice of a mature codebase.
