Role Description
We are looking for a
D365 Finance & Operations Materials Resource Planning (MRP) Consultant with
8+ years of experience to assess customer configuration, optimize planning setup, and enable business users to fully leverage D365 MRP capabilities.
- 8+ years of experience in ERP supply chain planning, with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O MRP / Master Planning.
- Evaluate current customer configuration across master planning, coverage groups, item coverage, lead times, calendars, BOMs, routes, safety stock, and planning parameters.
- Identify configuration gaps, process inefficiencies, and incorrect planning behaviors impacting material availability, inventory levels, and production planning.
- Recommend and implement re-configuration to improve demand planning, supply planning, purchase planning, production planning, and inventory optimization.
- Support setup and tuning of planning optimization, master plans, forecast plans, planned orders, firming, action messages, and delay messages.
- Work closely with business users to understand planning challenges and translate them into practical D365 configuration improvements.
- Train planners, buyers, production teams, and supply chain users on effective usage of MRP capabilities, planning workspaces, and exception management.
- Provide hands-on support during testing, simulations, validation of planning outputs, and user adoption activities.
- Collaborate with functional, technical, data, and business teams to resolve planning-related issues across procurement, inventory, manufacturing, and sales.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex MRP concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner.
