We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Maintenance Electronics Technician to support daily operations within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for diagnosing equipment malfunctions using electrical, electronic, and mechanical knowledge, and restoring equipment to proper working condition. The Maintenance Electronics Technician will provide technical support across all areas of manufacturing while helping drive reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay based on experience + $0.75/hour night shift differential (if applicable)
- 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:15 PM or 7:00 PM–7:15 AM)
- Every other weekend off
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety
- Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines.
- Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
- Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
- Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately.
Tasks
- Responsible for developing manufacturing solutions using automated and semi-automated equipment (PLC’s, HMI’s, Robotics, Vision Systems, etc.)
- Serve as the technical expert on machine specifications, controls, integration, installation, programming, servicing and modification.
- Work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to identify new automation opportunities
- Pursue opportunities to reduce costs, improve product quality, and consistency
- Project management
- Create accurate, complete, and clear documentation of new machinery and processes
- Establish automated equipment efficiencies, PM programs, cleaning programs and documentation of these activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) required
- 5+ years of experience with manufacturing automation systems
- Strong project management skills
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience installing and validating automation systems
- Experience with robots and vision system integration
- Experience with new process development and machine design
- Experience working with equipment suppliers (price, delivery, and service)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this position, employee may be exposed to extreme heat, moving mechanical parts and products with sharp edges. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
