The Purpose:
The Creative Director defines, develops, and executes creative visions across brand campaigns, digital, print, social, and experiential channels. This role blends brand identity, various forms of high-impact media, immersive environments, and multi-channel design to enhance guest engagement and ensure brand consistency. The Creative Director collaborates closely with client marketing and sales teams and internal account and creative leadership to bring compelling, on-brand creative visions to life.
The Job:
- Lead, mentor, and collaborate with a team of creatives to deliver cohesive, emotionally resonant, and on-brand work across all platforms.
- Drive the development of strategic, on-brand conceptual ideas for experiential executions, branded environments, and consumer engagements.
- Partner with Account leadership and clients to define program objectives, strategic direction, and tactical approaches.
- Collaborate with strategists to ensure ideation is grounded in consumer insights, brand tenets, and client objectives.
- Oversee creative development across physical, digital, print, video, social, and experiential channels.
- Provide clear, consistent creative direction and uphold a high standard of excellence across all internal and external deliverables.
- Maintain alignment with Executive Creative Director to ensure Czarnowski corporate, account, and client objectives are met.
- Define and articulate the end-to-end consumer experience through compelling verbal, written, and visual storytelling.
- Partner with Account leads to ensure projects meet timelines, design objectives, and budget parameters.
- Collaborate with and direct producers and production teams to ensure successful fabrication and on-site execution.
- Work cross-functionally with all internal disciplines to refine creative to ensure delivery success.
- Stay current on cultural, technological, and design trends, and translate them into innovative, strategically grounded creative solutions.
- Confidently present and communicate ideas to internal leadership, clients, and executive-level stakeholders.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance workflows, accelerate ideation, and support conceptual development.
- Travel as required, including availability for extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
The Person:
- 7–10+ years in art direction, design, or creative leadership, ideally with experience in consumer, luxury, or hospitality-focused environments with examples of executed events / campaigns
- BFA or equivalent in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Hospitality Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
- Strong, hands-on portfolio showcasing high-impact design, multi-channel campaigns, and compelling visual storytelling
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD) and digital/social media strategy
- Familiarity with prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch) and basic web design (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software for visualization would be a benefit
- Balances strategic vision with hands-on execution while staying current with emerging design and experiential trends
- Deep understanding of brand systems, visual identity, and experiential storytelling across platforms
- Knowledge of hospitality-focused design is highly desirable
- Knowledge of generative AI tools (Midjourney, Firefly, ChatGPT, Runway) to support concept development is a plus, but not required
- Software Proficiency in the following
- 3D molding Software (Rhino*, 3DMax, Blender, C4D) and AI tools to support concept development and visual exploration within a 3D environment.
- Adobe Creative Cloud: Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe XD for digital and multimedia design
- Miro: Team ideation and program collaboration
- Prototyping Tools: Familiarity with platforms like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD to create interactive digital prototypes
- Web Design and Development: Understanding of tools and languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are a benefit
