About The Role
NuSummit Cybersecurity is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, as well as implementing proactive measures to prevent future threats. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of network security, threat intelligence, and incident response procedures. The Cybersecurity Analyst will work closely with clients and internal teams to assess vulnerabilities, develop security strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS controls.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies including SIEM, intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
- Experience with incident response, threat hunting, and forensic analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify potential threats or breaches.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents to determine root causes and impact.
- Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and upgrade security systems.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to staff and stakeholders.
- Maintain and update incident response plans and conduct regular drills.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for management and compliance audits.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop tailored security solutions and strategies.
