What Birchlogic does
Birchlogic is a senior cybersecurity strategic advisory firm working with high-stakes clients across India, SEA, and Europe. Our existing engagements include enterprise SaaS players, Indian banking IT, and government tenders.
We're now productizing two offerings for the mid-market:
- AI Vendor Security Assessment — fixed-scope evaluation of enterprise AI deployments for mid-market companies.
- SOC 2 + ISO 27001 Fast-Track — productized compliance for Series A-C SaaS companies expanding internationally. 90-day to 6-month delivery.
Our beachhead is Series B-C SaaS and mid-market financial services in Singapore, India, Malaysia - companies that need senior security expertise without Big-4 pricing.
This is a founding hire. You'll own GTM end-to-end and build the playbook that scales the company.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Cyber Security Sales Specialist to drive revenue growth in the SMB & Startups segment through a partner-led sales model. This role owns sales targets, manages channel relationships, and closes cybersecurity solution and managed services deals in collaboration with partners and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and achieve assigned revenue and booking targets
- Work closely with founders to architect solutions and collaterals.
- Drive pipeline through channel partners, MSPs, and OEM alliances
- Manage end-to-end sales cycle from opportunity identification to closure
- Position cybersecurity solutions and managed services for Startups & SMB customers
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and reporting.
Must-Have Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in IT / Cyber Security sales
- Strong understanding of Startup & SMB security needs and buying behavior
- Ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- You've closed $25-100K ACV deals to mid-market buyers i.e. Director of Security, VP IT, CISO at companies between 80-500 employees.
- You're willing to dial yourself for the first 90 days. If your reaction to "build the outbound motion personally before hiring under you" is hesitation, this isn't the role.
- You can hold your own with technical CISOs and CFOs in the same conversation
First 90 days:
- Define the ideal customer profile in detail, working with the founders
- Build target account list of 200-300 named accounts across SEA + global
- Map warm intro pathways through our existing partner and advisor network
- Productize the two offerings into clean, sellable packages — pricing, scope, sales narrative
- Set up CRM, outbound sequencing, and reporting infrastructure
- Run 80-120 outbound touches per week; book first qualifying meetings
- Sit in on every founder-led sales conversation; absorb the technical narrative
Months 4-9:
- Run discovery calls solo; bring founders in only at proposal/close stage
- Build and execute channel partner motion across SEA — onboarding, enablement, joint sales
- Close 8-12 deals at $30-40K ACV
- Document the playbook as you build it
Months 10-12:
- Hit consistent close rate; close 6-10 additional deals
- Begin scoping the next sales hire (SDR or AE) under you
- Inform the next productized offering based on what you're seeing in market
