Position Description
- Steer and coordinate implementation of Cybersecurity regulations (AIS-189 / UN R155 / UN R156) across all car models sold in India, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Quality, IT, Production, Engineering, After Market, Sales and Procurement to define responsibilities, timelines and compliance milestones
- To ensure that all identified risks are managed and either eliminated or mitigated to minimize risk to stakeholders, or accepted;
- Liaise with global headquarters (HQ) and type-approval authorities (e.g. ARAI, ICAT) for regulatory interpretation, documentation and homologation support
- Maintain a Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) governance framework; coordinate internal audits, gap assessments and corrective action plans across departments
- Monitor supplier and component-level cybersecurity compliance; ensure supply chain readiness in line with regulatory requirements for all India-market models
Efficiency
Primary Responsibilities:
- Establish & maintain CSMS / ACSMS and SUMS governance framework
- Aligned with AIS-189/190, UNECE R155/R156, VW Group standards
- Define org structure, RASI, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms
- Integrate cybersecurity into vehicle lifecycle processes
- Drive execution across EE, GQG/GQK, IT, Production, Purchase, Homologation, After Market
- Single point of coordination across brands (Skoda, VW, Audi, etc.)
- Ensure alignment between local India entity and Group HQ
- Support CSMS certification (ARAI / TÜV) and ensure continuous compliance
- Oversee SUMS readiness for vehicle type approval
- Ensure availability of TARA, cybersecurity concepts, validation evidence
- Planning & monitoring the critical parts time line with all business functions and reviews with supplier in commitment meetings.
- Tracking of progress of changes in Change Management process and optimize the cost.
Qms
- Drive CSMS certification (ARAI / TÜV) and ensure continuous compliance
- Oversee SUMS readiness for vehicle type approval
- Aligned with AIS-189/190, UNECE R155/R156, VW Group standards
- Aligning and agreement of interface processes of other departments
Organization
- Maintain list of all Organization Units (OU) responsible for ACSMS Risk Management.
- To coordinate all the OUs in the company involved in this process
- Lead Cross functional team of Cybersecurity Team for all Car project in SAVWIPL.
- Manage project budget, track progress against regulatory deadlines, identify risks and escalate deviations to senior management
- Drive continuous improvement across all cybersecurity processes
- Track KPIs: Product risk , incident response, compliance status
- Steering and support for approval forums (Task Force/Cyberteam ) in India and VAP/G1-Kreis/BRA in HQ.
- Interface with test agencies and regulatory bodies
- Reviews with HOD for project status and organize small circle meetings to resolve issues in case of escalation from product review meetings
- Internal and external audit readiness
- Conduct workshops/meetings with head of other functional areas to harmonize for team work within all cross functional areas working in department
