Job Title: Cybersecurity Lead Engineer – MFA & External Access Security

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Lead Engineer to support a large enterprise initiative focused on strengthening Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) controls and securing external application access.

This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and validating enhanced security measures across identity, authentication, and third-party integrations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise IAM platforms, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to deliver results in fast-paced, high-priority environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enforce enhanced MFA policies across enterprise environments
• Secure and manage external application access, including SaaS platforms and third-party integrations
• Configure, manage, and harden Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms (e.g., Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta, Ping, Duo)
• Implement conditional access policies, risk-based authentication, and least-privilege access models
• Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of authentication and access control changes to minimize business disruption
• Identify and remediate security gaps related to authentication, authorization, and external application exposure
• Collaborate with security architects, identity teams, application owners, and infrastructure teams
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and security controls for operational and audit purposes
• Support incident response activities and investigations related to authentication or access issues
• Assist in security compliance initiatives and reviews (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST)

Required Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience in Cybersecurity with strong focus on IAM and authentication security
• Proven experience implementing and managing enterprise MFA solutions
• Strong understanding of authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect
• Experience securing external and third-party application integrations
• Knowledge of Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and Zero Trust architecture
• Strong troubleshooting, validation, and testing skills in production and pre-production environments
• Experience working on time-sensitive enterprise security initiatives
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar IAM platforms
• Exposure to Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management (PAM), or CASB solutions
• Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SC-300, or CompTIA Security+
• Experience supporting enterprise compliance or regulatory programs
