Role Description The Cybersecurity Faculty role at ImaginXP is a full-time, on-site position based in Vadodara. The faculty member will design and deliver cybersecurity courses, develop lesson plans and assessments, and ensure alignment with industry standards and emerging threats. Daily responsibilities include conducting classroom sessions, mentoring learners, supervising projects and lab work, and providing constructive feedback to support academic and professional growth. The role involves collaborating with academic and industry partners to update curriculum, participating in faculty meetings and academic events, and contributing to research or outreach initiatives in cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity Faculty is expected to foster an inclusive, engaging learning environment and support placement readiness through guidance on portfolios, certifications, and interview preparation.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core cybersecurity domains such as network security, application security, cloud security, threat analysis, and incident response.
- Practical experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM platforms, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability assessment tools, penetration testing frameworks).
- Knowledge of security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP, GDPR, data privacy regulations).
- Competence in programming or scripting relevant to cybersecurity (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
- Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, instructional design, and classroom or lab-based teaching, preferably in higher education or professional training.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field; relevant industry certifications (e.g., CEH, CISSP, Security+, CISM) are highly beneficial.
