Role Description The Cybersecurity Expert will be responsible for safeguarding Thundermkt.agency’s infrastructure, applications, and client web solutions from security threats. Day-to-day activities include monitoring security events, performing vulnerability assessments, managing incident response, and implementing security controls across networks, applications, and cloud environments. The role also involves collaborating with developers and operations teams to embed secure development practices, conducting security reviews of new features, and maintaining up-to-date documentation and compliance with best practices. This is a full-time remote role, requiring regular communication with cross-functional teams and proactive participation in security planning and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to design and maintain comprehensive security frameworks.
- Proficiency in Application Security, including secure coding practices, code reviews, and vulnerability management for web applications.
- Experience with Network Security, covering firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure network architecture.
- Hands-on experience in Security Operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, log analysis, and use of SIEM tools.
- Knowledge of common attack vectors, OWASP Top 10, encryption, authentication, and access control best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud security (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and securing CI/CD pipelines is highly beneficial.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or OSCP are a plus.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
