The India Cybersecurity & Customer Trust Director leads 3DS's cybersecurity and customer trust organization in India across three distinct but connected areas of responsibility.
The first is internal leadership. The Senior Director will oversee the India-based teams contributing to global cybersecurity operations, including but not limited to SOC/IR functions, vulnerability management, and compliance programs. He or she will ensure these teams operate in full alignment with the corporate security strategy, maintain clear reporting lines to global leadership, and are resourced and structured to meet both local and enterprise-wide objectives. A key part of this responsibility is acting as the bridge between India operations and the global CISO organization, translating corporate priorities into local execution and surfacing India-specific risks back to the global organization.
The second area is customer engagement. As Indian enterprises in regulated sectors mature their own security requirements, many now expect or contractually require that security discussions be conducted by a senior, India-based representative with direct accountability. The Senior Director will lead these engagements, covering security architecture reviews, contractual security commitments, audit responses, and executive-level trust conversations with customers in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, and critical infrastructure. He or she will work closely with the account teams and cloud advocates organizations to support business development where security posture is a differentiating factor.The third area is regulatory and governmental affairs. The Senior Director will serve as the company's primary point of contact with Indian authorities on cybersecurity and data protection matters. This includes managing relationships with CERT-In, engaging with the Data Protection Board under the DPDP Act, responding to regulatory inquiries, and participating in industry forums where policy is shaped. In the context of defense customers and supply chain requirements, the Senior Director will also engage with relevant ministries and agencies where the company's security credentials and local accountability need to be demonstrated at the institutional level.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have at least ten years of experience spanning cybersecurity and either enterprise cybersecurity leadership, government affairs, or defense. A deep understanding of cybersecurity is non-negotiable, whether grounded in security operations, risk management, compliance, or security architecture. The candidate must be able to engage credibly on technical topics with practitioners and translate those same topics clearly for executive and government audiences.
The candidate who brings experience in defense, intelligence, or public administration, and who has a proven track record of engaging Indian regulatory and governmental bodies at a senior level. In either case, the candidate must hold Indian citizenship, as several customer and governmental engagements carry an explicit requirement for local accountability.
On the regulatory side, the candidate should be conversant with CERT-In's reporting and audit obligations, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and its implementing rules, and sector-specific frameworks relevant to aerospace, defense, and critical infrastructure. Experience responding to regulatory inquiries or audits, and participating in policy consultations, is a strong differentiator.
Interpersonally, the role demands someone who can operate across a wide range of interlocutors, from security engineers and compliance analysts to C-suite executives, government officials, and defense procurement leads. Strong written and spoken English is required. Familiarity with the operational culture of a French or European multinational is an advantage, particularly the ability to work within a structured global governance model while maintaining the autonomy to act decisively at the local level.

Internally, the growth of the India cybersecurity organization has reached a scale where it needs dedicated senior leadership to coordinate with the global team and, in India, with IT and DevSecOps. The third driver is commercial. Extending 3DS's footprint into India's defense industrial base requires a senior India citizen who can engage customers and authorities on security topics where that status is either a legal requirement or a practical prerequisite for the conversation to happen at all. That profile does not fit a regional or global role based elsewhere.
