Cyber Security Intern (Remote, Full-Time)

About the Role
This internship is designed for individuals who are passionate about safeguarding digital systems and learning how to identify, prevent, and respond to security threats. As a Cyber Security Intern at Infrabyte Consulting, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to security tools, risk assessments, and compliance practices that protect organizations from evolving cyber risks.
Responsibilities
* Monitor systems for potential vulnerabilities and suspicious activity
* Assist in conducting security audits and risk assessments
* Support implementation of security policies and best practices
* Work with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection tools
* Help in incident response and documentation of security breaches
* Research emerging threats and recommend preventive measures
Requirements
* Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or related fields
* Basic understanding of network security, encryption, and authentication protocols
* Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, or Kali Linux is a plus
* Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud environments
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment
* Good communication and documentation abilities
