Job Title: Visiting Faculty – Cybersecurity
Location: Pune (On-campus – Abasaheb Garware College)

Course Duration: 60 Hours (Across One Semester)
About the Role
We are looking for a Visiting Faculty member for Cybersecurity to teach undergraduate students in the B.Sc. Data Science program.
The course will introduce students to the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity, data protection, network security, and safe computing practices. The focus will be on helping students understand how security threats occur, how systems are protected, and why cybersecurity is critical in modern data-driven environments.
The teaching approach should emphasize practical understanding, case studies, demonstrations, and real-world security scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 60 hours of teaching across the semester
- Introduce students to core cybersecurity concepts and practices
- Conduct practical demonstrations and case-based discussions
- Design assignments, exercises, and scenario-based learning activities
- Explain security risks in data systems and analytics environments
- Support internal assessments and evaluation
- Encourage security awareness and responsible technology usage

Candidate Profile
- Postgraduate degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- Professional experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or network security
- Familiarity with security tools, threat analysis, and secure system practices
- Prior teaching, training, or corporate training experience preferred
- Ability to explain technical security concepts clearly to undergraduate students
Teaching Commitment
- Total Course Duration: 60 hours
- Weekly Teaching Load: Approximately 6–8 hours
- Mode: On-campus teaching in Pune
Faculty may also be required to prepare assignments, case studies, and internal assessments.
